Japanese Hirado Celadon Miniature



Japanese porcelain with celadon glaze. Incense burner with a dragon rearing his head from the upper cup, the base with a wide rim; the entire piece is glazed celadon over inscribed and cut-out work on the white porcelain body.
The maker is most probably Hirado.
Unmarked; size: 6 inches total height, 5 inches diameter.
